RedR are an international charity working to relieve suffering in
disasters by selecting, training and providing competent and effective relief
personnel to humanitarian aid agencies world-wide.
Focus Ireland believe
that every person has the right to a place they call home. Their objectives
are:
- respond to the needs of people out-of-home and those at risk of
becoming homeless, through a range of appropriate high quality services
- provide emergency transitional and long-term accommodation for
people out-of-home
- campaign and lobby for the rights of people out-of-home and the
prevention of homelessness
The Meningitis Trust is working towards a world free from meningitis and
providing care and support to those affected by the disease.
Sightsavers work in the poorest of countries restoring sight and giving hope
to many adults and children who are needlessly blind
The Mitchemp Trust is a youth development charity that works with vulnerable
children from the Wiltshire area. Working with children between the ages of 11 and 14 years, they aim to
improve their confidence, self esteem and ability to take responsibility for themselves.
Wateraid is an international NGO dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic
water. Sanitation and hygiene education to the Worlds poorest people.
The Railway Children helps runaway and abandoned children who live in and around the Worlds
railway stations. Working through partner organisations the charity offers shelter, healthcare,
education, training, protection and above all, friends.

NDCS is an organisation of parents, families and carers which exists to support parents
in enabling their children to maximise their skills and abilities; and works to facilitate
this process by every means possible.
Seafarers UK (The King Georges Fund for Sailors) - www.kgfs.org.uk
Seafarers are still formally known as King George's Fund for Sailors (KGFS). Founded by King
George V in 1917 they are the only central fund making grants to nautical charities which look
after the welfare needs of seafarers and their dependants in the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy
and Fishing Fleets. Help ranges from care of elderly seafarers to financial help for those still
serving who hit problems brought on by ill health, disability, homelessness, unemployment, broken
homes and bereavement. Seafarers' children also benefit with help in education.
