Multi-activity events are great fun and an excellent alternative
to traditional Mountain style events. Typical events would see teams gather on
a Friday evening in the Brecon or Llanberis area of Wales, ready for an early Saturday
morning start, (lists of suitable accommodation can be provided).
In Brecon, the day would entail teams walking the Pen Y Fan horseshoe,
mountain biking parts of the glorious 'Taff trail', and traversing the
Pontsticill reservoir in rafts that they have had to construct! Teams would be
on the go for approximately 14 hours, and have reminded themselves about
muscles long since forgotten!
See the Pfizer case study.
In Snowdonia, the day would entail climbing Snowdon, cycling a tough route around the mountain and canoeing across Llyn Padarn.
The event can also take place in the Lake District.
An after event presentation ceremony & meal can be organised
by Global Challenge UK on the Saturday evening at a nearby venue (again, lists
of suitable accommodation can be provided), and for those left with an ounce of
energy this can be followed by a post event disco! Teams would depart Sunday
morning after a well earned nights sleep.
